Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they have the heart. - Elizabeth Andrew
This holds true for everyone who goes the extra mile to help make an event run smoothly, to raise money for a person in need, to envision great things for a future of a profession and so many more great examples of volunteerism.
If you’ve been contemplating getting more involved with the AMTA-NE chapter, please know that we are looking for you and we want to help you take the first step in a fulfilling experience.
For you to create the biggest impact and have the best experience, the first step is making sure that you are ready for volunteering. The following are some good questions to ask yourself.
Are all of my basic needs of life steady and stable? safe home, good self-care and healthy lifestyle, supportive family, good relationships with others, confident in your strengths...
What are your strengths, gifts, talents?
What drives you each day to improve and develop a better you?
What level of involvement would you prefer? One event just a couple of hours, consecutive events doing similar tasks, a leadership position…
How are you able to make an impact?
