Reminders
Wear comfortable clothes. Your clothes may smell some after the lab portion, but the smell will wash out. Feel free to bring more clothes to change into afterwards if you’d like.
Wear closed-toe shoes
The lab is well designed for ventilation so you will not be overwhelmed by the smell, just something to be aware of. If you want to bring an essential oil like lavender or peppermint or whatever of your choice, you can. It is not necessary.
Gloves will be provided, but it is not required for you to touch the specimens if you do not want to.
Bring a notepad and writing utensil. Class will begin in a traditional classroom, then proceed into the lab.
Mental preparedness for those who have not taken a human dissection or cadaver course before:
the instructor will be giving you a little background on the cadaver and how they came to be at the university.
She will also include the proper treatment and behavioral expectations of each student.
She will take it slow for you to adjust to the lab, the table and the cadaver.
Be open with your communication and ask questions so you feel more prepared.
Don’t Need the CE’s? That’s cool, Come hang out with your fellow healthcare colleagues. As with every group education gathering we like to also reserve time for a Massage Mingle. We would love to see YOU! there.
