Introducing AMTA-Member Kelsey Poulson of Omaha, NE, one of this year’s Nebraska Chapter's IMPACT MAKERS.

Here's is the info you should know about Kelsey in her own words:

LMT years:  13+ Years

AMTA years: 6 Years

Where do you practice:  The Copper Pin Salon & Spa in Omaha, NE

What Massage Modalities do you practice: I am a Certified Ashiatsu Therapist. I also practice sports massage, deep tissue, and incorporate myofascial release and stretching techniques in my massages. I am also trained with hot stones, warm bamboo, and corporate chair massage.

How do you spend time outside of work: As a mom of twin girls, wife, and business owner, outside of work my life is just as busy! I love spending time with my family, and in my free time I love to catch a show at any of the music venues in town!

How do you promote the massage therapy profession in your community: I am also a Certified Ashiatsu Instructor so I host CE classes in my space and I just started traveling with my portable bars to demo this modality for the local massage schools!

In what ways do you participate in your community:   We've worked with music festivals like MAHA and Outlandia to provide artist massages for the past few years. I also volunteer as my daughters' school's PTA board Treasurer.

Do you have any words of wisdom to share that have helped you in your career:  Work hard and don't give up! I love connecting with my clients to make each session unique. And never stop learning, find what you're passionate about and take all of the classes you can!
