Caring for our Communities Project

Members and NonMembers are welcome to participate!

National Massage Therapy Awareness Week (NMTAW)  is coming up October 20-26, 2024 and we are hoping you will join us in celebrating Nebraska’s 2024 theme “Creating a Culture of Care” by joining us in our Nebraska Massage Therapists Caring for our Communities Project in two ways.

  1. Recording how many hours of massage/clients you see during NMTAW

  2. Having a charity drive during NMTAW

You can participate in one or both activities.

We want this to be as easy as possible for you to participate, so we have a how-to document, graphic, and flyers for you to use that we will send to you after you sign up.

For the charity drive, we are asking you to choose a local charity in your area to collect items to donate and for you to ask your clients to drop off those items with you during NMTAW. For example dog food for a local animal shelter, nonperishable food items for your local food bank, feminine hygiene products for your local women’s shelter, etc. The charity and items are up to you, your passions, and your community’s needs.

We are hoping to have high participation from our 650 state members, and encourage you to invite other LMTs and community members to participate in your drive. We would like NMTAW to be a shining example of massage therapists Caring for our Communities.

Please fill out the form linked below ASAP to let us know you are interested in participating and we will send you more information. The sooner you sign up the more time you will have to organized and promote your drive.

You will be sent a link to add your own details and download to use to promote your charity drive.
