We are excited to announce the formation of a brand-new offering dedicated to supporting lifelong learning for our members.  The AMTA-NE Continuing Education Scholarship Fund; Supporting Professional Growth in Massage Therapy.

One of our members, Deb Parker, who has been a member for 35 years and is newly retired (Congratulations Deb!!!), has graciously contributed to our chapter to make an impact specifically for a continuing education scholarship fund. Deb wants to ensure that any current Nebraska LMT/AMTA member has some financial support to reaching their lifelong learning goals.

This scholarship program aims to assist Nebraska AMTA members facing financial barriers to continuing education by providing financial support for AMTA-NE Chapter education events and/or the National AMTA Convention. This is a chance to support your continued growth and professional journey. If you're passionate about your career as a LMT, we encourage you to apply and share your story with us.

The fund offers scholarships in two categories:

  • AMTA-NE State Convention

    • Event Dates: April 10–11, 2026

    • Application Window: February 1–March 1

    • Notification Date: March 15

    • Recipient(s) will receive $200 toward registration for the class at state convention. If payment has already been made, the chapter will reimburse for that expense with the provided receipt.

  • AMTA National Convention

    • Event Dates: August 27–29, 2026 (Denver, CO)

    • Application Window: June 1–July 1

    • Notification Date: July 15

    • Recipient(s) will receive $400 toward registration/hotel/travel for the National AMTA convention. If payment has already been made, the chapter will reimburse for those expenses with the provided receipt.

If you’re planning to attend either convention and would like to apply for financial assistance, we encourage you to submit your application during the designated window.

Committee Members needed

We welcome any current members to join us on this exciting journey and become part of our scholarship committee.  Committee member duties would mainly include reviewing applications, selecting award recipients, and communicating those decisions to the chapter board. Time commitment would be minimal, but busier during the weeks after submissions are due. Your insights, ideas, and collaboration will be instrumental in supporting our members’ educational journeys.

If you’re interested in joining the committee and making a meaningful impact, please contact the chapter at education@amtane.org

Let’s celebrate lifelong learning together!
