Presenter’s information
Bio: Satera
I was born and raised in Nebraska. I obtained bachelors degrees in Nutrition Science and Ethnic Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013. After graduating, I then worked as a teaching assistant for Human Anatomy at the same university for 2.5 years. At the same time, I worked for VisionWorks as an optometrist technician. I continued my education with a masters in Medical Anatomy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2017 and began working for UNMC as a faculty member in the College of Allied Health just a couple of months later.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my younger cousins and nephew. We are an active bunch and like taking walks, kayaking, and riding our bikes together. I absolutely love traveling and learning about/experiencing other cultures (hence my Ethnic Studies major). I speak French, not totally fluently - but can hold conversations with natives, and am constantly trying to improve my abilities. I'm also currently learning American Sign Language. I look forward to meeting you all!
