About the presenter:

Sandra Anderson, LMT has certifications in massage therapy, shiatsu, and  Thai massage. For 12 years she instructed at the Desert Institute of  the Healing Arts in Tucson, AZ, and she has authored five textbooks.

Get an overview of self-care best practices and how you can  incorporate them into your massages to help keep you healthy now and for  years to come.

When you finish this course, you will be able to:

  • Design proper warm-up and cool down strategies incorporating passive, general, and focused therapies.
  • Incorporate a general fitness and strength building regimen as part of a self-care plan.
  • Employ an early detection strategy to prevent injury.

Moderator Info: Holly Doring, LMT, is the owner and lead teacher of Serenity School of Massage Therapy in Wayne, NE.  She lives in Wayne and has been married to Brent since September, 2004. They have 4 children that keep their lives active outside of work. Holly graduated from Siouxland College of Massage therapy in May, 2011 and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since July, 2011. She started and owned her own business in Wayne from August, 2011 until opening the school in 2019.
